Two Weeks

Two weeks from tomorrow DanaRiley and I will head out with the first stop in Paducah, KY.  Paducah has been the center, the hub, of tornado activity this spring. Throughout the Midwest, tornados have been destroying communities. I’m praying it will calm down in two weeks and we’ll have smooth sailing. Our next stop will be just outside of Kansas City. The weather there has been unstable as well. 🙏

I’m looking forward to seeing Alene. We talk on the phone a few times a week and she seems excited to spend time together and have fun. Her latest dilemma (and there has been a few) is how much cash to bring on our trip to California. She’s brought it up several times, not only to me but to her daughter, Abbey. I’ve told Alene that I’d prefer she didn’t bring a lot of cash. We can use credit cards. She’s said she doesn’t have any credit cards. I know she does-at least she has a Costco Visa. She’s been paranoid that people are stealing her cash from her at home. I hope she doesn’t bring a lot of cash because accounting for it may be an issue. I’m sure (I hope) it’ll all work out.

My next two weeks are filled with packing, vet appointment and grooming for DanaRiley, detailing my car and getting enough sleep to make the drive from Canton to Ogalalla.

More on the day of departure…!
